Welcome and presentation

In 1995, the Institut de Chimie de la Matière Condensée de Bordeaux (ICMCB) was built involving the Molecular Sciences group (now named Switchable molecules and Materials) founded by the late Olivier Kahn. He developed the themes of molecular magnetism and played a pioneering role in the study of the interaction between molecular magnetism and light. To pay tribute to Oliver Kahn, this conference cycle was created.
More than an international tribute to a man, it is also a meeting between leading researchers, around a topic different each year. The program of the BOOK-D is directed to leave plenty of time for discussion.
The BOOK-D are jointly organized by the ICMCB (G. Chastanet) and the CRPP (R. Clérac).

BOOK-D 2024 : « Magnetism & Light »
14-16th of May, 2024, Bordeaux

In 2024, the topic is focused on the interaction between magnetism and light. This interaction is at the core of several research axis in optics, electronics or information manipulation, light being a stimulus and/or a probe. During this event, we aim at gathering lead researchers in the field of spin state switching, magnetochirality, nanomagnetism, luminescence… to promote extensive discussions and exchanges.
